Football and human rights in Lisbon for the UEFA Football Law Programme

FOOTBALL AND HUMAN RIGHTS A LISBONA PER UEFA FOOTBALL LAW PROGRAMME

On the occasion of the fourth session of the UEFA Football Law Educational Programme, held in Lisbon at the headquarters of the Portuguese Football Federation, Jacopo Tognon, Session Director of UEFA FLP for Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, gave a presentation on a topic of great topical interest: the relationship between football and human rights. The analysis started from the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) and focused on the jurisprudence of Article 6 of the Convention. The right to a fair trial, the principles of impartiality and impartiality are pillars of law in general, but they are also indispensable values in sports proceedings even before the CAS in Lausanne. The fourth edition of the programme concluded with graduation on 8 September.
